Hi Everyone,

So this is going to be a little informative for you all.
Koeda and Koeda's family have 7 - I repeat SEVEN - cats in total.

Hermie - ex award-winning show cat
Roxie
Shaunie / Scrunchers
Destiny
Kit-Kat Kitty - a saved stray
Momo - taken from a mama cat that refused to feed her
DL / Pork Pork - a saved stray

Hermie, Roxie, Destiny, and Shaunie all had names before they were given to us.
But little Shaunie with her short legs and scrunched face was given the nickname Scrunchers. They were given to my parents by an ex show cat breeder. The guy went into retirement, though, and was happy to give the cats away.

Kit-Kat Kitty was originally mine and my ex's cat. He refused to have a cat named anything other than Kit and I refused to have every cat named Kit. Her name became a compromise. Now that my ex is gone, everyone just calls her Kitty or "the grey cat". I hand-raised her after her mother got scared one day and left her. There were a lot of stray cats in my neighborhood, and there were a lot of kitten-eating raccoon's (it really isn't a nice picture).

Momo was named after the Japanese word for "peach". When I got her, she had some hair missing. She lived in a dresser that had been placed outside on a porch. She had lots of brothers and sisters, but most of them died. The mom refused to feed them, and they had worms. They didn't stand a chance, really. In the end, only two kittens survived. I took Momo, and her brother was given away. I don't know what happened to him. And the little hair that she had was so fine and soft, I decided that I would name her Momo.

DL stands for Damn Lucky. My mom rescued him when he had been wandering outside her work. She calls him DL still, but I don't. See, this little kitten developed a liking for food. Dog food, cat food, people food, bird food. And he likes to eat things that aren't even classified as food. So I would comment that all he does is pig out > pork out > oink oink > pork pork. It kind of just fell into place. Now I just call him Pork all the time. It's weird for me to even write "DL". My friends and bf call him Pork, too.
